Our Story
Education Effect Africa was founded in January 2013 by three friends passionate about development work and giving back to their communities.
The paths of Katarzyna Tekien, Edward Ngumo, and Anna Ogalo first crossed in 2010 when the three were involved in the implementation of one of the very first Polish Aid projects carried out in Kenya by Partners Poland Foundation.
By the end of the project, a friendship had blossomed and a great desire to find a long-term solution to solve some of the myriads of challenges that affected Kenya ignited. It was clear to each one of them that education was one of the best means to solve most of these challenges. Education has a transformative effect that empowers people to take control of their lives and well being of their societies.
It is this dream that led to the establishment of Education Effect Africa.
